Specifications

A sleeve anchor sets by torque like a wedge anchor, but the expansion happens through a sleeve that presses along the length of the drilled hole rather than at one point. That distributed pressure is why the sleeve anchor is the default expansion family for masonry: brick and block have less uniform bearing than concrete, and a full-length sleeve grips where a point wedge would spall. It installs with the same discipline — carbide bit matched to the anchor diameter, hole cleaned, anchor inserted, nut tightened gradually — and behaves predictably under repeated loads when set correctly. Body materials split by environment: zinc-plated carbon steel for dry interiors, galvanized or stainless for exposed and corrosive work. Within the mechanical expansion family band the sizing questions are the usual three: anchor diameter for the load, length for the fixture plus embedment, and spacing and edge distance so the base material does not weaken between anchors.

Type Torque-set expansion anchor with a full-length expansion sleeve — pressure distributed along the hole
Base materials Concrete, brick and block; the distributed sleeve pressure suits masonry where a point wedge can spall the base material
Family size band M6–M24, effective embedment 40–150 mm (mechanical expansion family band; individual products vary)
Drill & hole Carbide-tipped bit matched to the anchor diameter; hole diameter and depth per the product data — a snug fit is the setting condition
Torque discipline Tighten gradually; most tightening torque is consumed by friction at bearing faces and threads, only about 10% becomes bolt tension — follow the product torque value
Materials Zinc-plated carbon steel (light indoor duty); galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel (outdoor, wet or chemically aggressive environments)
Load behavior Predictable under repeated loads when installed per instructions; incorrect installation can crack or break the base material
Layout limits Respect anchor spacing and minimum edge distance — anchors set too close, or too near an edge, weaken the base material between fixings
Relative installed cost Low to medium (mechanical expansion family)
MOQ / lead time 500–1,000 pieces; standard production 15–30 days

Materials

  • Zinc-plated carbon steel (light indoor duty)
  • Hot-dip galvanized carbon steel (outdoor)
  • Stainless steel (wet, coastal or chemically aggressive environments)

Ordering & documentation

Documents

Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.

Quotation

  • The fastener family (Sleeve Anchors) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
  • Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
  • Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
  • Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.

Sample & supply

Minimum order quantity is 500–1,000 pieces. Standard production run 15–30 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.

Storage & shipping

Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose a sleeve anchor over a wedge anchor in masonry?

Base material decides it. In solid concrete a wedge anchor concentrates expansion at one point and holds efficiently; in brick or block that point pressure can crack the unit. The sleeve anchor expands along the whole hole length, spreading the pressure — which is why it is the tolerant expansion family for masonry and for base materials of uncertain uniformity. In high-load concrete work, step back to the wedge or a bonded anchor.

How do I size the hole and the anchor length?

Match the carbide-tipped drill bit to the anchor diameter — the sleeve needs a snug hole to expand against; an oversize hole is the most common bad installation. Anchor length covers the fixture thickness plus the minimum embedment from the product data, so measure the fixture first and pick the length that leaves the expansion section fully in the base material with the nut bearing on the fixture. Recheck spacing and edge distance against the product data before drilling.

What is the MOQ and lead time for these anchors?

The minimum order quantity is 500–1,000 pieces. Standard production runs 15–30 days. Bent or custom geometries are quoted against the drawing.

What should an RFQ for these anchors state?

State the anchor family and designation, diameter, embedment or length, base-material condition (cracked or uncracked concrete, moisture), coating, and quantity per size — plus destination country and any required documents such as a mill test certificate. If your detail carries an ETA or ICC-ES report number, quote it so the anchor matches the approval.
