Specifications
ISO 16583 countersunk open-end blind rivets are the flush-finish break-mandrel rivet in the copper combinations — Cu/steel, Cu/brass, Cu/stainless — where the rivet must sit below the surface and the copper body brings corrosion compatibility or electrical conductivity. The collected table carries four sizes (read vertically by the d max/min rows: 3.08/2.85, 3.28/3.05, 4.08/3.85, 4.88/4.65) with head diameter dk max/min (6.3/5.4 to 10.1/8.3), countersunk head height k max (1.3 to 2), mandrel d1 max (2 to 2.95), minimum grip L1 (25, 25, 25, 27), mandrel protrusion b (L(max)+3.5 to L(max)+4.5 as printed), recommended hole sizes (3.1/3.2 up to 4.9/5.0 min/max), and the load rows: minimum shear 760/800/1500/2000 N, minimum tensile 950/1000/1800/2500 N, maximum mandrel break load 3000/3000/4500/5000 N, and head retention test load 15/15/20/25 N. The load rows are what separate this ladder from a geometry-only rivet table — they are the acceptance numbers behind the riveted joint.

Materials
- The Cu body is chosen for the joint, not the looks: Cu/St is the general-purpose combination, Cu/Br and Cu/SSt for corrosion-matched or higher-strength service. Copper rivets set at lower forces than aluminium bodies of the same size — the load rows above are lower than the steel-body equivalents — so a substitution from Cu to Al changes both the corrosion picture and the strength check. State the body/mandrel combination on the RFQ exactly as the drawing prints it; the countersunk head needs the 90-degree csk hole prepared to match k max
Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (DIN EN ISO 16583 Open End Blind Rivets, Countersunk Head, Cu/St (Break Pull Mandrel)) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000–50,000 pieces depending on size. Standard production run 10–20 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
What do the four load rows actually mean when qualifying a riveted joint?
They are four different tests: minimum shear and minimum tensile are what the set rivet must carry (the joint-design numbers); maximum mandrel break load is the upper bound of the setting force — above it the mandrel damages the joint instead of breaking cleanly; and head retention is a small load (15 to 25 N here) checking the countersunk head does not pull through the sheet after setting. The wide gap between working loads (760 to 2000 N shear) and mandrel break load (3000 to 5000 N) is the setting window: the tool must be capable of breaking a much stronger mandrel than the joint will ever see in shear. Qualify against the min rows, tool against the max row.
The table has no size labels on the columns — how do I read it?
The collected page prints the size ladder implicitly: read each column vertically by its d (shank) max/min rows, which give the four rivet sizes (≈3.0/3.2/4.0/4.8 class). Every other attribute in that column — head, mandrel, grip, hole, loads — belongs to that size. The source page also printed its mandrel-protrusion row (b) twice, once styled as a header; the duplicate was dropped and the grid copy kept, as the batch anomalyFlags note. When ordering, name the rivet by its d size and ISO 16583 designation — never by a column position.
