Countersunk Head Rivet Nuts

Countersunk head rivet nuts seat into a 90° countersunk hole and finish flush with the sheet — for sliding mating parts, packaging surfaces and any face that must not catch a protruding head. Offered in knurled and smooth body forms in the full-metric line (CKCM / COCM), paired with round and hex body families.

Specifications

The countersunk head rivet nut trades a little installation work for a flush result: the sheet gets a 90° countersink, and after setting the head sits at or near the surface level instead of standing proud. The collected manufacturer line names the application directly — flush-mount installations in 90° countersunk holes — and offers the form in two body treatments: knurled (CKCM) and smooth (COCM). The knurled form carries circumferential bite into the countersink wall, so where the screw sees torque, the knurl is the safer choice of the two; the smooth form minimizes marking on soft or finished sheets where torque is light. Distributor listings carry the countersunk head across round-body families in steel, stainless and aluminum, so the flush form does not lock you out of the material ladder. The usual flush-head discipline applies: the countersink must match the head angle or the head seats on its edge and loses both flush height and bearing — cut the countersink to the insert specification, not by eye.

Type Countersunk head rivet nut — head seats into a countersunk hole for a flush finish on the set face
Countersink angle 90° countersunk holes — per the collected manufacturer line description ("Flush-mount installations in 90° countersunk holes")
Full-metric series availability CKCM (countersunk, knurled body) · COCM (countersunk, smooth body)
Knurled vs smooth choice Knurl adds circumferential bite against spin-out in the countersink; smooth minimizes marking on soft or finished sheets — match to installation torque and surface requirement
Body family pairing Distributor listings pair the countersunk head with round body families in steel, stainless steel and aluminum
Installation note Countersink the hole to the insert specification — a mismatched angle seats the head on its edge and costs both flush height and bearing
MOQ / lead time 10,000–50,000 pieces by size; 10–20 days

Ordering & documentation

Documents

Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.

Quotation

  • The fastener family (Countersunk Head Rivet Nuts) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
  • Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
  • Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
  • Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.

Sample & supply

Minimum order quantity is 10,000–50,000 pieces depending on size. Standard production run 10–20 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.

Storage & shipping

Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.

Frequently asked questions

When do I need a countersunk rivet nut instead of a flat head?

By what sits on the installed face. A flat head stands proud by its own height; a countersunk head finishes flush. Specify countersunk wherever the face is functional — sliding mating parts, packing surfaces, covers that must sit flat, edges that cannot catch — and flat head everywhere the extra height is harmless, because the plain hole is cheaper to make than hole plus countersink. Remember the countersink must be cut to the insert specification: the head only seats flush and fully bearing in a matched 90° countersink.

Knurled or smooth countersunk body?

By torque and by surface. The knurled countersunk form (CKCM in the full-metric line) uses the knurl to resist the insert spinning in its hole — the safer choice whenever the screw it carries sees meaningful installation or service torque. The smooth form (COCM) exists for light-duty points on soft, cosmetic or finished sheets where the knurl would mark the countersink wall and torque is not a concern. If in doubt on a functional thread, knurl — the marking it causes is local and hidden in the countersink.

What is the MOQ and lead time for these rivets?

Minimum order quantity is 10,000–50,000 pieces depending on size and material. Standard production lead time is 10–20 days. Common blind rivet sizes are widely stocked — confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.

What should an RFQ for these rivets state?

State the rivet subtype (open-end, closed-end, structural blind rivet or rivet nut), body diameter, grip range or total material thickness, head style (dome, countersunk or large flange), body and mandrel materials (for example aluminum body with steel mandrel, or all-stainless), finish, required certificates such as a mill test report per EN 10204 3.1, and quantity per size — plus destination country.
