High-Strength Rivet Nuts (Class 10 / Grade 8)
High-strength rivet nuts rated for Class 10 / Grade 8 thread proof load: higher-strength steel bodies that let Class 10.9 metric and Grade 8 imperial bolts be torqued to full specification in thin sheet. Hex and round bodies, open and closed ends, M5–M12 and #10-24 to 1/2"-20 — installed with standard rivet nut tooling.

Specifications
A standard rivet nut derates a strong bolt: the thread survives, but the insert's body is the weak link the moment a Class 10.9 or Grade 8 screw is torqued to its own specification. The high-strength line removes that derate — rivet nuts rated for Class 10 / Grade 8 thread proof load, made from higher-strength steel for superior durability and tensile strength, and designed to be paired with Class 10.9 (metric) or Grade 8 (imperial) bolts. The collected manufacturer line ships them as standard catalog product across four designs: hex body, round body, open end and closed end — so the body-shape selection logic (round for plain holes, hex for maximum spin-out) carries over unchanged, and the sealed-end option stays available. Size scope runs M5 to M12 and #10-24 to 1/2"-20 unified, set with standard rivet nut tooling — no special installation equipment. The named industries are the tell for where this matters: automotive, heavy truck, construction and agriculture equipment and renewable energy — high-clamp-load environments where a threaded point in thin sheet must be as strong as the bolt going into it, without the welding that the weld-nut alternative would demand.

Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (High-Strength Rivet Nuts (Class 10 / Grade 8)) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000–50,000 pieces depending on size. Standard production run 10–20 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I just put a Grade 8 bolt into a standard rivet nut?
Because the insert, not the bolt, becomes the limit. A Grade 8 / Class 10.9 screw is designed to be torqued to high preload; a standard-body rivet nut's thread and body are not rated to carry that proof load, so the point strips or spins well before the bolt reaches its own specification. The high-strength line closes that gap: bodies in higher-strength steel rated for Class 10 / Grade 8 thread proof load, so the threaded point accepts the bolt's full torque. If your assembly only needs a Grade 5 / Class 8.8 point, a standard body remains the economical choice.
How does a high-strength rivet nut compare with a weld nut or clinch nut for high-load points?
By process, not by rating intent. The collected line positions high-strength rivet nuts as an alternative to clinch nuts and traditional weld nuts without the complexities of welding, at a lower total installed cost — one-sided, cold installation with standard tooling, on panels that may already be painted or finished. A weld nut becomes part of the panel before finishing and carries the highest loads, but needs weld access and heat; a clinch nut needs press capacity at the right stage. The rivet nut route wins where assembly sequence, one-sided access or finished panels make welding and clinching impractical while the joint still needs Grade 8 / Class 10 thread capability.
What is the MOQ and lead time for these rivets?
Minimum order quantity is 10,000–50,000 pieces depending on size and material. Standard production lead time is 10–20 days. Common blind rivet sizes are widely stocked — confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
What should an RFQ for these rivets state?
State the rivet subtype (open-end, closed-end, structural blind rivet or rivet nut), body diameter, grip range or total material thickness, head style (dome, countersunk or large flange), body and mandrel materials (for example aluminum body with steel mandrel, or all-stainless), finish, required certificates such as a mill test report per EN 10204 3.1, and quantity per size — plus destination country.
