Tri-Fold Blind Rivets
Tri-fold (triform) blind rivets — all-aluminium bodies that split into three legs on setting, giving a large blind-side bearing surface, a wide clamping range and a guaranteed retained mandrel head with good vibration resistance. The soft-material rivet when the mandrel must stay in the joint.

Specifications
The tri-fold rivet is the retained-mandrel member of the soft-material blind rivets: an aluminium-alloy body that splits into exactly three parts as it sets, each leg folding back to widen the blind-side bearing area. The collected manufacturer line lists the three advantages as designed — a large secondary bearing surface on the blind side, a wide clamping range, and a guaranteed retained mandrel head with good vibration resistance. That retained mandrel is the selection difference from the peel rivet: where the peel form ejects the mandrel head (accepting a lower shear path in exchange for the widest spread), the tri-fold keeps it locked in the set body, so the joint keeps its shear member and does not rattle — which is why the line recommends it for soft materials where the fastener still has to stay tight under vibration. The collected all-aluminium series (body and mandrel both aluminium, for colour-matched and corrosion-matched joints) runs 4.0 and 4.8 mm bodies with grip windows up to 12 mm, and the line offers colours and anodization plus a Type 2 version with relative water resistance. Like any split-body rivet it needs blind-side clearance for the folded legs.

Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (Tri-Fold Blind Rivets) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000–50,000 pieces depending on size. Standard production run 10–20 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Tri-fold or peel rivet for plastics — where is the line?
By what the joint must keep. Both split into legs and spread the blind-side clamp over soft or brittle parents, so both solve pull-through. The tri-fold retains the mandrel head in the set body — the joint keeps its shear member and stays tight under vibration; the peel form ejects the mandrel and spreads even wider on four legs, but the legs alone carry shear. Specify tri-fold where the fastener must stay tight and strong in service (moving parts, panels that flex); peel where maximum spread on the most fragile material matters more than retained-mandrel shear.
What is the MOQ and lead time for these rivets?
Minimum order quantity is 10,000–50,000 pieces depending on size and material. Standard production lead time is 10–20 days. Common blind rivet sizes are widely stocked — confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
What should an RFQ for these rivets state?
State the rivet subtype (open-end, closed-end, structural blind rivet or rivet nut), body diameter, grip range or total material thickness, head style (dome, countersunk or large flange), body and mandrel materials (for example aluminum body with steel mandrel, or all-stainless), finish, required certificates such as a mill test report per EN 10204 3.1, and quantity per size — plus destination country.
