DIN 1445 Clevis Pins with Head and Stud End
DIN 1445 clevis pins with head and stud end, shank d1 8–100 mm — the clevis pin that threads into the joint: flat head plus male stud thread (M6–M64) replacing the cotter, with the collected stud/head/wrenching ladder across two tables.
Last updated: 2026-11
Specifications
Where a DIN 1443 clevis pin is retained by a cotter through a cross-hole, the DIN 1445 pin replaces the whole retainment with a thread: the point end is cut to a male stud (M6 at the 8 mm pin stepping up to M64 at the 100 mm pin) that screws into a tapped hole in the rod end or boss, while the flat head with a wrenching width s takes the pivot load at the ear. The collected tables run shank d1 = 8 to 100 mm in two ladders (8–30 and 33–100) and carry per size: the stud thread d2 and its minimum thread length b, the head diameter d3 (h14, 14 mm at the small end growing to 120 mm), the head height k (js14), the underhead radius r, the wrenching width s, and the approximate lead z2. Reading order at assembly: match the h11 shank to the ear bore as a running fit, thread the stud into the tapped end until the head clamps the ear (b, 11–84 mm, is the thread engagement you have to work with), and hold the head with a spanner on s while tightening. The head height k is a js14 tolerance, not a stock dimension — check it against recessed applications. Length ladders and materials are not tabulated by the collected specification — per RFQ.
| Standard | DIN 1445 — clevis pins with head and stud end (threaded-stud clevis pin; cotter replaced by the stud thread) |
|---|---|
| Size range | Shank d1 8 – 100 mm: eleven sizes 8–30 mm (first table) and eleven sizes 33–100 mm (second table) |
| Stud thread | d2: M6 → M64 across the ladder (M6 at 8 mm, M12 at 14–18 mm, M16 at 20–22 mm, M20 at 24–27 mm, M24 at 30–33 mm … M64 at 100 mm); thread length b (min.) 11 → 84 mm |
| Head | d3 (h14) 14 → 120 mm; height k (js14) 3 → 13 mm; underhead radius r 0,6 → 1 mm; wrenching width s 11 → 110 mm |
| Lead | z2 (approx.) 1 → 3 mm across the ladder |
| Materials / finishes / ratings | Not tabulated by the collected specification — per RFQ (state material, shear load and environment at quotation) |
| Shank Dia. (d1 h11) | Thread Length (b min.) | Stud Thread (d2) | Head Dia. (d3 h14) | Head Height (k js14) | Underhead Radius (r) | Wrenching Width (s) | Lead (z2 approx.) |

| 12 | 17 | M10 | 20 | 4 | 0,6 | 17 | 1,6 |
| 14 | 20 | M12 | 22 | 4 | 0,6 | 19 | 1,6 |
| 16 | 20 | M12 | 25 | 4,5 | 0,6 | 22 | 1,6 |
| 18 | 20 | M12 | 28 | 5 | 1 | 24 | 1,6 |

| 27 | 29 | M20 | 40 | 6 | 1 | 36 | 2 |
| 30 | 36 | M24 | 44 | 8 | 1 | 36 | 2 |
- Row 9 (24): An earlier capture of the source k row carried a merged-cell artifact ("5,5 |>6 | 6 | 8") that was mis-transcribed with k = 5,5 at d1 = 24; the 2026-10-31 live-DOM recapture shows a clean row printing 5,5 / 6 / 6 / 8 across d1 = 22–30, and the value above (k = 6 at d1 = 24) follows the recapture. Verify against the standard before quoting k at d1 = 22–30.
- Row 11 (30): An earlier capture showed empty d2, r and s cells at d1 = 30; the 2026-10-31 live-DOM recapture carries the values shown (d2 = M24, r = 1, s = 36) in a clean row with a trailing filler column. Verify against the standard before quoting d1 = 30.
| Shank Dia. (d1 h11) | Thread Length (b min.) | Stud Thread (d2) | Head Dia. (d3 h14) | Head Height (k js14) | Underhead Radius (r) | Wrenching Width (s) | Lead (z2 approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 33 | 36 | M24 | 47 | 8 | 1 | 41 | 2 |

| 80 | 68 | M52 | 100 | 13 | 1 | 90 | 3 |
| 90 | 7 | M56 | 110 | 13 | 1 | 100 | 3 |
| 100 | 84 | M64 | 120 | 13 | 1 | 110 | 3 |
- Row 10 (90): The source prints b min. = "7" at d1 = 90 where the surrounding ladder (36, 39, 42, 45, 49, 52, 58, 61, 68, …, 84) indicates a missing digit (likely 70 or similar); reproduced verbatim as printed. Verify against the standard before quoting b at d1 = 90.
- Row 11 (100): The source prints an empty d2 cell at d1 = 100 in the capture; the stud thread shown (M64) follows the printed d2 ladder. Verify against the standard before quoting d1 = 100.

Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.

Sample & supply
Minimum order quantities and lead times for this family are confirmed at quotation — send your sizes, grades and quantities on the RFQ and the quote will carry a firm schedule. Sample availability is confirmed with the quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
How do I size and assemble a DIN 1445 stud-end clevis pin, and what is not in the table?
Three readings off the collected tables, in order. First the shank: match d1 (h11) to the ear bore as a running fit — the pivot is the shank, not the thread, so the ear runs on the reamed bore while the stud only locates and clamps. Second the stud: the d2 ladder steps from M6 at the 8 mm pin to M64 at the 100 mm pin, and b (11 mm at the small end, 84 mm at the large) is the engagement available — check the tapped depth accepts at least b, and hold the head with a spanner on the wrenching width s (11–110 mm) while tightening. Third the head: d3 (h14) sizes the seat, k is a js14 tolerance band not a stock figure — at recessed or flush applications measure against the real tolerance, not the nominal. The collected capture carries two transcription quirks flagged under the tables (a merged-cell artifact in the k ladder at d1 22–30, and a truncated b value at d1 90 printed "7") — verify those cells against the standard before quoting. What the table does not carry: length ladders (the source length/mass block is empty in the capture), materials, finishes and load ratings — all RFQ lines. For the cotter-retained counterpart see the DIN 1443 page; for the headed DIN series dimensionally superseded by EN 22341 see the ISO 2341 page.
