DIN 71752 Fork Joints

DIN 71752 fork joints (clevis forks), pin-hole d1 4–16 mm — the internally threaded fork body that pairs with a clevis pin to make an adjustable rod-end joint, with the collected 16-row geometry ladder (g, a, b, d2 thread M4–M16, d3, l1–l3, r3) per size.

Specifications

A DIN 71752 fork joint is the female half of a clevis joint: a fork-shaped body with two parallel ears, a cross-hole through both ears (d1, H9 tolerance per the source header) that receives the pin, and an internal thread (d2) at the shank end that screws onto a rod or threaded endpoint. Mating logic: pick the fork by pin-hole d1 (4–16 mm in the collected table), screw the thread d2 onto the mating rod — the source gives a rule-thread column for every size (M4 through M16) and a fine-thread column that exists only from d1 10 upward (M10x1,25 through M16x1,5) — then pass the clevis pin through the ears and retain it (this catalog's DIN 1443 / ISO 2341 clevis pin pages carry the pin side). Each d1 comes in two g variants in the collected table — g = d1 and g = 2×d1, the fork gap — so the stack width you need to swallow decides which of the two rows to order. The remaining columns size the fork envelope: a1/a2 (ear width and, per the source legend, width), b1/b2 the internal widths, d3 the outer diameter across the fork eyes (8–26 mm across the ladder), f and r3 the fillet/radius steps, l1 the fork length, l2 the length to the hole axis, and l3 the length of the outer pin boss. Two capture cautions, reproduced verbatim and flagged under the table: the site renders a tolerance span column whose header lineage does not match its content (B13 for d1 4–10, +0,7+0,15 for d1 10–16), and the two-row header places the +0,3-0,16 / B13 tolerance tokens one column right of the labels they most plausibly describe — verify tolerance-dependent cells against the standard before quoting them in a drawing. Finishes and load ratings are not tabulated by the collected specification — per RFQ.

Standard DIN 71752 — fork joints (internally threaded clevis fork; pin retained through a cross-hole in both ears)
Size range Pin-hole d1 4 – 16 mm (H9 per the source tolerance header), eight sizes × two g variants = 16 rows (g = d1 and g = 2×d1 at every size)
Thread d2 Rule thread at every size: M4 / M5 / M6 / M8 / M10 / M12 / M14 / M16; fine thread from d1 10 up: M10x1,25 / M12x1,5 / M14x1,5 / M16x1,5 (dashes at d1 4–8 per the source)
Fork geometry a1 = a2 = d1 at every size; b1 = b2 = d1; d3 (outer diameter across eyes) 8 → 26 mm; f 0,5–1; r3 0,5–1
Lengths l1 (fork length) 21 → 115 mm across the 16-row ladder; l2 (to hole axis) 16 → 96 mm; l3 (outer pin boss) 6 → 24 mm
Weight Approx. 0,005 → 0,411 kg across the ladder (as printed by the source)
Materials / finishes / ratings Not tabulated by the collected specification (source makings line lists steel only) — per RFQ (state material, pin partner and working load at quotation)
DIN 71752 fork joints — pin-hole, thread and fork geometry, d1 4–16 mm (two g variants per size)All dimensions in millimetres, comma decimal separators as published. Header as rendered is two rows and is flattened here: d1 carries tolerance H9, g ±0,5, d3 ±0,3, f ±0,2, l1 ±0,5, l3 ±0,2; d2 splits into a rule-thread and a fine-thread column (fine thread exists only from d1 10 upward). The column printed "tol/span (site)" reproduces the published rowspan tolerance cell — its header lineage does not match its content; transcribed as rendered, see flags. b2 second subcolumn and l2 second subcolumn are empty in every data row and are dropped from this view ). Legend wording quirks preserved: the published legend letters the dimensions with wording of its own ("l2 - length to axis of ensuring", "g - distance between the bottom of the thread to axes").

  • Row 1 (4): The "tol/span (site)" column reproduces the site's own rowspan cell verbatim: B13 spans the d1 4–10 size rows (as rendered). Its header lineage is the second b2 subcolumn (tolerance-row token "Maximum"), which does not match its content — B13 reads as the a2 tolerance class per the tolerance row. Transcribed as rendered, not normalized; verify against DIN 71752 before quoting.
  • Row 10 (10): From this row the site's rowspan cell switches to +0,7+0,15 (d1 10–16 rows, as rendered) — read as the a1 tolerance for the larger size group per the tolerance row. Same header/content mismatch as above; transcribed as rendered.
  • Row 1 (4): Two-row header misalignment (site's own rendering): the tolerance tokens +0,3-0,16 and B13 render under the a2 and b1 labels respectively — one column right of the labels they most plausibly describe (a1 and a2). d1 H9, g ±0,5, d3 ±0,3, f ±0,2, l1 ±0,5, l3 ±0,2 align as printed.

Ordering & documentation

Documents

Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.

Quotation

  • The fastener family (DIN 71752 Fork Joints) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
  • Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
  • Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
  • Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.

Sample & supply

Minimum order quantities and lead times for this family are confirmed at quotation — send your sizes, grades and quantities on the RFQ and the quote will carry a firm schedule. Sample availability is confirmed with the quotation.

Storage & shipping

Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick between the two g variants at my pin size, and what does the fork pair with?

The collected table gives every d1 (4–16 mm) exactly two rows: g = d1 and g = 2×d1 — g is the fork gap, the internal space between the ears that has to swallow your mating stack (rod eye, linked part, second fork). Measure the stack at the pin axis and pick the row that clears it; both rows share the same thread d2 and the same pin hole, so the choice changes only the fork envelope (l1 grows from 21 to 29 mm at d1 4, from 83 to 115 mm at d1 16). The pin that goes through the d1 H9 cross-hole is the clevis-pin side of this catalog — the headless DIN 1443 / ISO 2340 series pairs with a cotter, the headed ISO 2341 series locates from one face; size it to the pin hole, not to the thread. The thread d2 is the rod-side connection: rule thread (M4–M16) at every size, fine thread available only from d1 10 upward — a fine-thread callout at a smaller fork is not in the collected table, quote it explicitly. Two cautions from the capture are flagged under the table: the site's tolerance span column does not match its own header lineage, and the two-row header misplaces two tolerance tokens by one column — verify tolerance-dependent cells against DIN 71752 before drawing use. Finishes and load ratings are RFQ lines.
