DIN 1440 Washers for Pins (Medium Type)
DIN 1440 medium-type washers for pins, bores d1 3–100 mm — the plain unhardened washer sized to a clevis or taper-pin shaft, with the collected bore/outside-diameter/thickness ladder and the kg/1000 pcs figures.

Specifications
DIN 1440 is the plain washer made to sit under a pin rather than a bolt: same geometry family as a plain flat washer, but the bore ladder follows the pin-diameter series (the source pairs each bore with a reference thread, e.g. the 6 mm bore at M6), and the medium-type wall prints a thickness ladder from 0,8 mm at the 3 mm bore up to 14 mm at the 100 mm bore. The collected table runs 39 sizes, d1 3 → 100 mm (H11 bore tolerance per the source header), with outside diameters d2 6 → 125 mm and the source's weight-per-1000 column — useful when the order is thousands of washers on a light gauge. Fitting note: the washer is the sacrificial bearing face between pin head and the joined part — pick it by pin diameter, not by thread; the "For thread" column is the ordering shorthand the standard prints, and on a clevis assembly the washer must cover the pin head seat without bridging the clevis fork. Where the washer rides a coarse clevis-pin series directly, DIN 1441 (the coarse companion, bore one size over the reference thread) is the counterpart in this catalog. Material, hardness and finish are not tabulated by the collected specification — per RFQ.

Materials
- Material specified per RFQ — pin washers are usually soft low-carbon steel; where the clevis sees weather or washdown, say so and the finish follows at quotation
Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (DIN 1440 Washers for Pins (Medium Type)) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items run 3–7 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
How do I pick between DIN 1440 and DIN 1441 for a pin assembly?
Both are plain washers ordered through the pin's reference thread; they differ in where the bore sits relative to that thread. DIN 1440 (medium) carries the bore at the thread size itself — 6 mm bore for the M6 line — while DIN 1441 (coarse) steps the bore one size up (7 mm for M6), matching clevis pins whose shaft runs over the nominal thread size. Read the two ladders in this catalog side by side: for the M6 line, DIN 1440 gives a 12 mm outside diameter at 1,6 mm thickness, DIN 1441 a 12 mm outside diameter on the 7 mm bore at the same 1,6 mm — the pin, not the thread, decides which bore your shaft actually accepts. What neither table carries is material and hardness: these are RFQ lines, so state the pin diameter, the joined part and the environment at quotation.
