DIN 93 Tab Washers with Long Tab
DIN 93 tab washers with long tab, M3 to M52 — the lock washer whose long tab bends against a workpiece edge while its round face seats under the nut — with the full collected 24-size table: bore, tab width, outside diameter, overall length and the source's reference mass per 1000 units.

Specifications
DIN 93 is the simplest tab lock washer: a flat round washer extended into a long, narrow tab. In assembly the tab is bent down over a workpiece edge, into a drilled hole, or against a step, and the washer face seats under the nut or bolt head — the geometry stops the fastener backing out because the tab anchors the washer to the part, not to the thread. It is the standard choice on machined brackets, electrical switchgear and automotive assemblies where a castled nut or cotter pin would be overkill, and like all tab washers it tolerates repeated disassembly. The collected table covers M3 to M52 — 24 sizes — with the bore d, tab width B, outside diameter D, overall length L, tab thickness h ① (the ① marker is printed by the source without a legend and reproduced verbatim), and the source's reference mass per 1000 units. Materials and finishes are not printed by the collected specification and stay per RFQ. For shaft-mounted locking with an internal tongue see DIN 462 on this site.
| Standard | DIN 93 — tab washers with long tab (lock washers for bolted joints) |
|---|---|
| Series | M3 – M52 (24 sizes tabulated) |
| Tabulated geometry | Per size: bore d, tab width B, outside diameter D, overall length L, tab thickness h ①, reference mass per 1000 units ≈ kg |
| Function | Long tab bent against a workpiece edge or into a hole anchors the washer; face carries the fastener |
| Family note | Shaft-keyway tab washer DIN 462; external-tab housing washer DIN 463 |

Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (DIN 93 Tab Washers with Long Tab) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items run 3–7 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
What does the washer need from the workpiece to lock properly?
An anchor point within reach of the tab. DIN 93 works when the tab can be bent against a machined edge, into a small drilled hole, or over a step in the part — the tabulated length L exists so the tab reaches that feature while the round face still covers the joint. If the workpiece offers no edge or hole at the bolt location, a tab washer has nothing to grip and a different lock (spring washer, prevailing-torque nut) is the right call. Bend the tab cold with a punch, not pliers on the washer face, and leave enough tab to re-bend at the next service.
What is the MOQ and lead time for this washer type?
The minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items ship in 3–7 days; non-stock items are confirmed at quotation. Common sizes are widely stocked; confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
