Specifications
ISO 7093 is the large-series washer: its outside diameter is set at about three times the thread nominal (15 mm at M5, 30 mm at M10, 60 mm at M22), tripling the bearing face of a normal-series washer so that soft substrates, slotted or oversize holes, and plastics do not pull the head through. The collected ladder runs M2,5 to M36 with bore min/max, outside max/min, thickness nominal/max/min and kg/1000 weights (0,28 at the small end to 522 kg at M36). Thickness also scales with the series — 1,2 mm nominal at M5 against the normal series' 1 mm — because a wide thin washer dishes under load. Read the ladder by thread: each nominal size maps to its thread in the "For thread" column, and the bore still runs a hair over nominal for clearance. The companion small series (ISO 7092) and normal series (ISO 7089/7090) are in this catalog when the bearing face you need is smaller. Frequently asked questions
How much more bearing face does the 3 d series actually give me?
Roughly twice the diameter and four times the area of a normal-series washer. The collected ladders put numbers on it at M10: outside diameter 30 mm here against 20 mm for ISO 7089/7090 and 18 mm for the ISO 7092 small series. Pressure under the head falls by the same ratio, which is what matters when the joint clamps aluminium, GRP, timber or a slotted hole. The series also thickens with the face — 2,5 mm nominal at M10 here against 2 mm in the normal series — so the wider ring does not dish under the same clamp. Weights scale accordingly (12,2 kg/1000 at M10 here, against 4,1-class on the normal page), which is the honest cost of the face. Steel grade, hardness and coating are not tabulated by the source — per RFQ.
