DIN 435 Square Taper Washers for I-Sections

DIN 435 square taper washers for I-sections, M8 to M27 — the bevelled square washer that squares a bolt head or nut on a sloped I-beam flange — with the full collected 8-size table: bore, edge widths, taper, thickness, radius and the source's reference mass per 1000 units.

Specifications

A bolt tightened against a sloped flange bends: the I-beam flange slopes at a standard gradient, and a flat washer under the head or nut loads the bolt in bending it was never designed for. DIN 435 is the fix — a square washer with the bearing face cut to the flange's slope, so the fastener sees a square, axial seat. It is the I-section counterpart of DIN 434 (which suits the inside-flange slope of U/channels) and shares its geometry logic: the collected table covers M8 to M27 — 8 sizes keyed by bore nominal — with the matching thread row, bore d (min=nominal size / max), edge widths s and s 1 (the taper makes them differ), taper e min, thickness h 1 (Nominal Size / min / max), the source's radius r ≈ and taper-run t ≈ rows, and its reference mass per 1000 units. Materials and finishes are not printed by the collected specification and stay per RFQ. For the U-section slope see DIN 434 on this site.

Standard DIN 435 — square taper washers for I-sections (bevel matching the standard I-beam flange gradient)
Series M8 – M27 (8 sizes tabulated, keyed by bore nominal with the matching thread row)
Tabulated geometry Per size: bore d (min=nominal size / max), edge widths s and s 1 (Nominal Size / min / max), taper e (min), thickness h 1 (Nominal Size / min / max), radius r ≈, taper run t ≈, reference mass per 1000 units ≈ kg
Function Gives a square axial seat on a sloped I-beam flange so the bolt is not loaded in bending
Materials / strength Not tabulated by the collected specification — per RFQ (material and finish per drawing callout)
DIN 435 square taper washers for I-sections - per-size dimensions (M8 - M27)All dimensions in millimeters. Attribute labels follow the source: the first size column is the washer bore nominal (9 / 11 / 13.5 / …); 'for nominal threads diameter' gives the matching bolt thread; d = bore (min=nominal size / max); s = edge width (Nominal Size / min / max); s 1 = the opposite (tapered-face) edge width; e = taper min; h 1 = thickness (Nominal Size / min / max); r and t ≈ = the source's radius and taper-run rows; per 1000 units ≈ kg = the source's reference mass. Materials and finishes are not tabulated by the collected specification and stay per RFQ.

Materials

  • Material and finish specified per RFQ — the collected specification table covers geometry and reference mass only

Ordering & documentation

Documents

Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.

Quotation

  • The fastener family (DIN 435 Square Taper Washers for I-Sections) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
  • Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
  • Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
  • Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.

Sample & supply

Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items run 3–7 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.

Storage & shipping

Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.

Frequently asked questions

DIN 435 or DIN 434 — which taper washer on my section?

By slope, not by preference. I-beam (I/H section) flanges taper one way and channel (U section) flanges the other; DIN 435 is cut to the I-section gradient and DIN 434 to the U-section one. Fit the wrong bevel and the washer itself becomes the bending wedge. Confirm from the section's standard — European I/H sections and U channels both carry defined flange slopes — then match the bore to the bolt from the table: each size lists its matching nominal thread alongside the bore. Where a girder connection carries several bolts, keep every washer the same orientation so all heads seat square, and check the edge widths s / s 1 against the flange width so the washer bears fully rather than overhanging.

What is the MOQ and lead time for this washer type?

The minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items ship in 3–7 days; non-stock items are confirmed at quotation. Common sizes are widely stocked; confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
