DIN 434 Square Taper Washers for U-Sections (Channel)
DIN 434 square taper washers for U-sections (channel), M8 to M27 — the beveled washer that seats a bolt square on the sloped inner flange of a channel — with the full collected 8-size table: bore, square sides, reference thickness and the source's reference mass per 1000 units.

Specifications
The inner flange of a channel (U-section) is not perpendicular to the web — it slopes a few degrees. Bolting a flat washer against that slope leaves the fastener bent under load, its thread carrying a side force the joint was never designed for. DIN 434 is the square taper washer cut to that slope: its bearing face sits parallel to the flange while its top face stays square to the bolt axis, so the head or nut seats flat and the clamp runs true down the thread. The collected table covers M8 to M27 with the bore d, the a and b square sides (Nominal Size / min / max), the e reference thickness, the h thickness triple, the r and t ≈ reference values, and the source's reference mass per 1000 units. The counterpart for I-section flanges — tapered the opposite way — is DIN 435. Materials and finishes are not printed by the collected specification and stay per RFQ.
| Standard | DIN 434 — square taper washers for U-sections (channel flanges) |
|---|---|
| Series | M8 – M27 (8 sizes tabulated) |
| Tabulated geometry | Per size: bore d (min=nominal size / max), square sides a and b (Nominal Size / min / max), reference thickness e (Ref.), thickness h (Nominal Size / min / max), r and t (≈ reference values), reference mass per 1000 units ≈ kg |
| Function | Compensates the sloped inner channel flange so the bolt seats square to its axis |
| Family note | I-section (beam flange) counterpart DIN 435; flat square washer DIN 436 |
| Materials / strength | Not tabulated by the collected specification — per RFQ (material and finish per drawing callout) |
| For Nominal Thread Diameter | d — min=nominal size | d — max | a — Nominal Size | a — min | a — max | b — Nominal Size | b — min | b — max | e — Ref. | h — Nominal Size | h — min | h — max | r ≈ | t ≈ | per 1000 units ≈ kg |

Materials
- Material and finish specified per RFQ — the collected specification table covers geometry and reference mass only
Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (DIN 434 Square Taper Washers for U-Sections (Channel)) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items run 3–7 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
DIN 434 or DIN 435 — which taper washer fits my section?
By which way the flange slopes. The inner flanges of a channel (U-section) taper toward the web on the side the washer sits, and DIN 434 is cut to match that angle. The flanges of an I-beam taper the opposite way, and DIN 435 mirrors it. Fitting the wrong taper leaves the same misalignment the washer exists to remove — the bolt axis tilted relative to the bearing face. Identify the section first, then the washer; both share the same square outline and size ladder, so the designation on the drawing is the reliable guide.
What is the MOQ and lead time for this washer type?
The minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items ship in 3–7 days; non-stock items are confirmed at quotation. Common sizes are widely stocked; confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
