DIN 103 Trapezoidal Thread Round Nut (Tr)
DIN 103 trapezoidal round nut, Tr 10 to Tr 40 — the cylindrical travel nut pressed or pinned into a machined bore — with the collected 14-size table: thread d1, pitch P, outer diameter d2 and nut height h.
Last updated: 2026-11
Specifications
The trapezoidal round nut is the cylindrical-bodied member of the DIN 103 nut family: an unflatted sleeve with the internal Tr thread, meant to be pressed into, or pinned and retained in, a machined bore. Without hex flats it sits flush in the housing — the usual pick where the nut is built into a machine and never needs wrench access: machine tables, traversing bridges, screw press and mould-adjustment spindles. The collected table covers Tr 10 to Tr 40 — 14 sizes — with thread d1, pitch P, outer diameter d2 (22 mm at Tr 10 up to 80 mm at Tr 40 — a wall that keeps the pressed-in sleeve rigid under flank load) and nut height h (15–60 mm, about 1.5 × d1, matching the hex form for equivalent engagement). Thread-fit class, retention method, materials and finishes are not printed by the collected specification and stay per RFQ. For the wrench-flatted form see the DIN 103 trapezoidal hex nut page; the mating rod is on the DIN 103 trapezoidal thread rod page in the bolts family.

Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (DIN 103 Trapezoidal Thread Round Nut (Tr)) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items run 3–7 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
How is a round trapezoidal nut retained without flats?
By interference and a positive stop. The collected table's d2 column is the outer sleeve diameter — size the housing bore a light press fit to it so flank torque cannot spin the nut, then add a key, pin, shoulder or retaining ring so the nut cannot creep axially as it travels. Because there is no wrench access, design for replacement: either leave a withdrawal feature in the housing or accept that the nut is a consumable pressed part. Engagement follows the h column — about one and a half times the thread diameter across the tabulated range, the same turns count as the hex form — so wear life is comparable; the round form's advantage is a flush, sealed package inside the machine rather than service convenience. Confirm thread-fit class, starts and material pairing against your screw at RFQ.
What is the MOQ and lead time for this nut type?
The minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items ship in 3–7 days; non-stock items are confirmed at quotation. Common sizes in this nut type are widely stocked; confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
