DIN 467 Knurled Nuts — Low Type
DIN 467 knurled nuts, low type, M1 to M10 — the flush-height round thumb nut for instrument panels and covered assemblies — with the collected per-size tables: pitch, body d k, d s, heights h/k, r and knurl division.
Last updated: 2026-11
Specifications
DIN 467 is the low-type member of the knurled-nut pair: the same formed-knurl round body and internal thread as DIN 466, but with the overall height h cut roughly in half — 2 mm at M1 to 10 mm at M10 in the collected tables against the high type's 3.5 to 23 mm. That flush profile is the whole point on panel-built products: the nut disappears under a knob, a scale ring or a cover, or rides in a counterbore where a tall nut would proud-up the surface. The knurl still gives fingers the grip for hand tightening, and the collected tables carry the same per-size data as the high type: pitch P, chamfer c, body d k (nominal/max/min), d s, height h, knurl height k, r, the knurling division (0.5–0.8 mm) and the source mass figures. The source prints some c cells as ① with no legend — reproduced verbatim and disclosed. Materials and finishes are not tabulated by the collected specification and stay per RFQ.

Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (DIN 467 Knurled Nuts — Low Type) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items run 3–7 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
What does the low profile cost me on a DIN 467 nut?
Engagement and leverage — and the collected tables show exactly how much. Compare the h columns across the two sibling pages: at M5 the low type offers 5 mm of nut against the high type's 11.5 mm, which means roughly half the engaged thread turns and half the finger lever. On a clean M5 thread holding a light cover, that is fine; on anything that sees vibration, thermal cycling or repeated re-adjustment, the shorter engagement is where knurled nuts work loose first. The practical recipe: keep DIN 467 where height is budgeted and loads are light, step up to DIN 466 when the same thread needs to stay put, and where a setting must never move, put a second nut on as a lock or switch the design to a hex nut and washer — the formed knurl is a hand-grip, not a torque feature. Both pages carry the same body diameters per size, so a panel can mix the two heights without changing the mating hole.
What is the MOQ and lead time for this nut type?
The minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items ship in 3–7 days; non-stock items are confirmed at quotation. Common sizes in this nut type are widely stocked; confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
