Specifications

The domed low profile barrel nut removes the drive entirely: the female sleeve carries a smooth domed head that no tool touches, because every bit of installation torque is applied to the mating machine screw on the opposite side. The collected tabulation covers M5, M6 and M8 — domed heads 10.0, 11.5 and 14.0 mm across, bodies 7.13, 8.0 and 11.0 mm, overall lengths 43, 49 and 60 mm with 40–55 mm under the head and 25–35 mm of thread engagement. Tabulated lengths are 40, 45 and 55 mm. A4 stainless steel as standard makes it the corrosion choice for exterior and coastal architectural work. With nothing to grip and nothing to snag, the dome is the finished-face answer for balustrades, furniture, playground and street furniture — anywhere the installed joint should look like a polished button.

Frequently asked questions

How do you install a barrel nut with no drive?

From the other side. The domed head is deliberately tool-free — you hold or fix the mating machine screw and drive it into the sleeve, so all torque goes through the screw head, not the dome. That makes the joint tamper-neutral (nothing to grip) and keeps the exposed face clean, but it also means the far side needs access for installation. Where only one face is reachable, a socket-drive barrel nut is the practical choice.

What is the MOQ and lead time for this nut type?

The minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items ship in 3–7 days; non-stock items are confirmed at quotation. Common diameters in this nut type are widely stocked; confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.

What should an RFQ for this nut type state?

State the designation (for example the barrel-nut SKU and head style), nominal thread size and pitch, overall barrel length or grip, material and finish (plain, zinc, or stainless where compatible), whether a through-hole or blind (closed) end barrel is required, the mating screw specification, required certificates, and quantity per size — plus destination country.
