ISO 4016 Hexagon Head Bolts, Production Class C
ISO 4016 hexagon head bolts with nut, production class C M5 to M64 — the wide-tolerance rough hex bolt with the collected attribute ladder (preferred + non-preferred sizes) and the full ls/lg grip tables to l 500.
Last updated: 2026-11
Specifications
Production class C is the tolerance regime, not a strength grade: ISO 4016 bolts are the rough hex bolts with generous allowances (the e/s tolerances are wider than the class A/B ISO 4014 counterparts this catalog carries), used where the nut fit only has to work — site fabrication, agricultural implements, formwork, temporary structures. The collected page is the deepest in this batch: the preferred-size attribute ladder M5 – M64 (P, b engagement bands with the source's glyph-substituted comparison signs carried verbatim, c, da, ds, dw, e min 8,63 → 104,86, k, kw, r, s with the source's mixed 8,00/36 decimal forms flagged) plus the non-preferred band M14 – M60 (k nominal prints 11.5 dot-decimal at M18 — flagged). Thread length/grip: full ls/lg tables for both size bands, l 25 – 500, transcribed as raw grids because the source interleaves the ls/lg header band over two cells per size — the pairing is not re-derived, and the flag on those tables tells you to confirm the thread/grip split per RFQ. "Bolts with nut" per the title: the shank is unthreaded through the grip, so the bearing and shear case is the bolt's home ground. Property class (class C commonly runs 4.6/5.6), material and finish are not tabulated — per RFQ.

Materials
- Property class and finish specified per RFQ — class C hex bolts commonly run 4.6/5.6 mild steel, often hot-dip galvanized for site work; state the load case (shear through the shank vs clamped) and corrosion environment at quotation, and note the wide class C tolerances when pairing with drilled templates

Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (ISO 4016 Hexagon Head Bolts, Production Class C) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 1,000–10,000 pieces depending on size. Stock items run 3–7 days. High-strength and custom parts run 15–25 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Class C (ISO 4016) or class A/B (ISO 4014) hex bolt — when does the rough tolerance actually matter?
When the hole position is uncertain, the rough bolt is the friendlier one. Class C widens the tolerances on the hex and shank (compare the collected e min. ladder with the ISO 4014 page's), so it drops through slotted or badly aligned site holes that a close-tolerance bolt fights, and it costs less — which is why formwork, fencing, farm implements and temporary works spec it. What it gives up: fit precision (a reamed, close-tolerance joint needs class A/B or a fitted bolt) and the tight shank concentricity a machined assembly wants. Two reading notes from the capture, carried verbatim: the b engagement bands print their comparison signs as "?" (glyph loss — read as the standard up-to/from bands), and the ls/lg grip tables keep the source's interleaved header band without re-deriving which cell is thread vs grip — if your order depends on the exact grip length, confirm it per RFQ rather than reading the grid. Class C is a tolerance class, not a strength grade: the common 4.6/5.6 classes and any galvanizing are per RFQ.
