DIN 964 Slotted Raised Countersunk Machine Screws
Slotted raised countersunk oval head machine screws per DIN 964 — current norm DIN EN ISO 2010 — M1 to M10 in steel class 4.8, A2/A4 stainless or brass, thread 6g. The oval-head compromise: flush conical seat with a low exposed crown, driven by a flat blade.

Specifications
The raised countersunk oval head seats its conical underside in the standard 90° countersink and lets a shallow crowned dome rise above the surface — a finish that clears slightly proud covers and paint films while keeping the flush screw's locating behaviour. This is the slotted version: a single blade recess, the traditional callout in instrument and electrical work. The collected standard table runs M1 through M10 in steel class 4.8, A2/A4 stainless or brass, thread tolerance 6g. At M4 the head seats at 7.5 mm maximum diameter with a raised-face parameter f of approximately 1 mm and a 1.0 mm slot; at M1 the screw is fully threaded. DIN 964's current norm is DIN EN ISO 2010. Its cross recessed counterpart is DIN 966/ISO 7047; the pure flush alternative in the same drive is DIN 963/ISO 2009.

Ordering & documentation
Documents
Shipments are backed by Mill Test Certificate (MTC), Dimensional Report, Salt Spray Test Report on request, with full batch traceability from raw material to finished product. Quality management follows the owner-confirmed compliance list: ISO 9001:2015, RoHS, REACH. Exact document sets are confirmed on the order.
Quotation
- The fastener family (DIN 964 Slotted Raised Countersunk Machine Screws) plus the standard designation from your drawing — DIN / ISO / JIS / ASTM / ANSI, or a drawing for custom parts.
- Size (diameter and length), thread type (metric or inch), property class or grade, and coating or finish.
- Quantity per size and your target delivery date.
- Destination country, and any required documents (for example a mill test certificate) so the quote includes them.
Sample & supply
Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Stock items run 3–7 days. Quantities or variants outside the standard range are confirmed at quotation.
Storage & shipping
Parts are packed for export and shipped factory-direct to buyers in Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. Store fasteners dry and protected until installation, and keep coated parts in their packaging until use; specific packing and preservation requirements can be stated on the order and confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Raised countersunk or flush countersunk — when does the oval head pay off?
When the joint wants most of a flush seat but cannot guarantee a perfect one. The conical underside of DIN 964 locates in the same countersink as DIN 963, so tooling carries over unchanged; the crown above the surface tolerates slight misalignment or countersink depth variation that would leave a flush head sitting uneven, and it clears paint films, labels and sliding covers a flush edge would catch on. The trade-offs are the visible dome and a bearing circle slightly smaller than a true flush seat. For driven assembly with powered drivers, the cross recessed version of the same idea is DIN 966.
What head-height figures apply to the larger DIN 964 sizes?
The tabulated figures are reliable through M4, and the figures quoted above are verbatim from them. From M5 up, the head-height and raised-face rows' values appear transposed under the wrong labels in the available table — so this page carries no k or f figure for M5–M10 rather than guess between them. Larger sizes in this designation are confirmed against the standard table at quotation.
What is the MOQ and lead time for these machine screws?
Minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces per item. Stocked sizes ship in 3–7 days; non-stock diameters, lengths or finishes are quoted with a confirmed schedule. Common sizes in this designation are widely stocked — confirm the exact schedule against quantity and size mix at quotation.
What should an RFQ for these machine screws state?
State the standard designation (for example DIN 965, DIN 964, DIN 966 — or the ISO designation your drawing prints, such as ISO 7046, ISO 2010 or ISO 7047), thread size and pitch, length and head dimension, strength class or material (such as 4.8, A2-70, A4-80 or brass), finish (black oxide, zinc plated, or plain), required certificates such as a mill test report per EN 10204 3.1, and quantity per size — plus destination country.
